You’re invited to come out and support our youth at the Avondale Youth Council (AYC) Entrepreneur Pitch Night—the finale of our six-week Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy Program!

Over the past six weeks, AYC youth have been learning what it takes to start and run a business. They worked in teams, developed business ideas, and created real products to sell. Now it’s time for the community to show up and celebrate their hard work.

Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project – Career Opportunities in Construction

Be part of one of the largest infrastructure projects in the country. The Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project offers high-paying careers in the skilled trades and construction management, with strong wages, benefits, and long-term growth. Training resources and union pathways are available to help you get started.

Roots to Boots is a paid, hands-on workforce training program designed for young adults ready to build real skills and launch a career in the outdoors. This 12-week summer cohort offers participants the opportunity to earn $18 per hour while learning essential green infrastructure and land stewardship skills.

Participants will work 8 hours per week, gaining industry-recognized certifications and practical experience in areas such as OSHA 10 safety training, plant identification, chainsaw and tree care safety, tool maintenance, and green infrastructure basics.

The Summer 2026 cohort begins in June, and is open to Hamilton County residents ages 18–24. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn, work outdoors, and grow.

Spots are limited. Apply now to get paid to learn, build your resume, and take the first step toward a sustainable career.
